How should I chose whether to go from Dover to Calais by P & O or by Seafrance?

Two competing companies provide ferry services between Dover and Calais? What is the difference between them?
P.S. Emiliana, I got a free day return passenger ticket once in a newpaper promotion by Seafrance, so walking wouldn’t necessarily cheaper! And P & O have done similar promotions (but for £1). The trouble is, they don’t always have an offer when you want to travel!
